Health activist calls on Pregnant Women to seek regular health care.
A health activist and the managing director of VEDNAN MEDICAL and Natural health Center at Kenyasi in the Kwabre District Mrs Boadu Boateng Aning has adviced pregnant women to attend regular antenatal clinics to know their Health conditions for medical attention rather than staying at home months after their pregnancy.
She noted that regular antenatal care check up is one of the major means to fighting the raising rate of maternal mortality and called on media agencies to embark on intensive education on the need for pregnant women to go for consistent medical check up .
Mrs Boateng Aning in an interview with Otec news reporter Jacob Agyenim Boateng urged other stakeholders and health professionals to encourage and support pregnant women to visit health facilities in the early stages of their pregnancy.
She bemoaned the behaviours on the part of some pregnant women who seek medical care at self acclaimed native doctors in the various rural areas and urged them to value their lives and that of the unborn child by visiting a trained and certified doctor for their health needs.
She however called on private individual’s to invest in health care delivery to assists the numerous work by the government in the health industry.
The MD for VEDNAN MEDICAL and Natural Health clinic expressed concern about the way some health practitioners look down on patients especially pregnant women urging them to desist from such appalling behaviour and show love and care to all .
